I want to have my wedding in a garden or an open field so I will need to be renting all the trimings....tents (+flooring), tables, chairs, linens, dining sets etc.. I am looking for a rough estimate of what this would cost me. (wedding location - long island, NY)

You need to check out venues and the different types of wedding packages they offer. some may supply all the things you need. many hotels have gardens, etc. as for a field, someone will have to be sure the field is cut, cleared of stones and what about parking. I would ask around at florists, caterers and get into the phone book and yahoo this type place in specific area of Long Island.
Call the rental places and ask them.
HERE (NC) Chairs are around $2.00 each to rent. Tables are $8.00 each to rent. Tents are around $125.00. Linens--I don't know..Dining sets--I don't know.
Surely NY prices are more expensive than NC prices.
It costs about $30 for delivery and .50 cents PER CHAIR for the rental company to set up and break down. I don't know about tables or tents.
