I'm trying to build my own lift top coffee table for my wife. I figure it would be cheaper to do and a lot more fun than going to the store and buying one. But I can't for the life of me figure out what type of hinge goes in one of those tables. Thanks! Greg.
To properly support the top when being lifted, you need a piano hinge. These run the full length of the top.

well along time ago and it still happens people always wake up in the morning and read the paper and drink coffee. well u cant hold both at the same time right so they needed a table. they decided this isnt just an ordinary table this is a COFFEE TABLE. lol i just made that up but it may be true
