I'm moving into my own apartment for the first time. I have some things given to me by my mom from when she moved into her house 6 mos ago, but I know I'm missing a lot.
Things I have: TV, Fridge, Microwave, Dinette Set, Sofa/chair& ottoman, coffee & end tables and a bakers rack.
Moving tip: have a box packed with things you will need right away when you move. Cleaning supplies, toilet paper, curtains (for privacy), lamps, light bulbs, dishes, silverware, towels, etc... Your mom would probably enjoy helping you pick out the stuff you'll need.
It sounds like you got a good start on gathering furniture (I don't see bed on the list). Congratulations on your first apartment. It's a huge milestone in everyone's life.
