How do we get a cat to stop sleeping on the patio set?

our neighbor's cat hangs out in our yard because my mom keeps feeding it. But it sleeps on the table, under the table, over the cushions... and it gets covered in fur!
My mom still likes that cat, but is there anyway to train him to not sleep on the patio set?

squirt it with water every time it sleeps there, it will then associate this with getting wet and not want to sleep there anymore.

put some thorns on it when you are not home. it may seem mean but only hurts for a second and eventually but it really works quickly. my cat never goes near the couch now.

Get a can of Hartz brand Animal Repellent Spray, available at most any Grocery Store, in the Pet Food Section.at first, it stinks really bad, then goes away, usually within just a few Hours.But, to the Cat, the smell remains for a long time.You might have to repeat applications a few times, but after awhile, the cat will get the message, and won't come back.and best of all, it's totally harmless.

dont be so fussy its only hair, get over it u primadona. honestly if the cat wants to sit on the chair he's going to sit on the chair so just live with it. or move. (but make sure u leave the patio chairs behind or the cat might get annoyd)

put food on the ground so that the cat is distracted by the food and stays off the patio set

Get a plastic cover which fits over the whole set (most garden centres sell them) and keep it covered unless you are using it. if the cat still wants to sleep on the table, at least the table will stay clean underneath the cat.

You could put something on the patio set so that there's no way it can get on or spray it with water if it goes on it and say 'No!' very loudly and it will eventually stop going there. or cover it with a big cloth and if it sleeps on there, it will not get the patio set dirty.
