a play area for them?
I was just noticing, when I was a child they had the climbers in my dentist office and the play table at the doctors' offices. one place my son goes has a table with the counter beads on it. the Wic office has a kitchen set, but that is about it. No other place has anything but a few childrens books.
BQ: Does their doctors' offices have changing tables in the bathrooms? I was accually quite shocked none of my childrens' doctors' offices have baby changing tables. I found that kind of odd, concidering it was a child only doctor.
My kids' doctor's office DOES have a play area....with no toys! There's a little room set apart from the main waiting room with brightly painted walls and some small chairs, but no toys. once when I was there, I saw a big pile of toys that looked like they were set aside to be cleaned or something, but I've never seen toys in the playroom. my son's dentist has a play area WITH toys, as well as plenty of books and magazines. my OB's office has a little table and chairs set up and a toy/bookshelf but also no toys (or books)! I don't get it??? I usually bring small toys and coloring books from home. I can't remember about changing tables.
Yes my child's doctor has a nice play area for the kids, it has a little house, a kitchen set, building blocks, books, and a few other things and it has foam pads down so that if they fall they don't hurt themselves.
BQ: Yes there are changing tables in the bathrooms and it would be weird not to have changing tables in the bathroom at a doctor that is only for children.
my dr does. Well the kids dr. actually my dr has a play area for the kids too. .or like a table and some books and blocks etc..
the pedis playarea is ok.. I do let them play there because we usually have to wait awhile so they get bored. i just purell them afterwards lol
The dentist.. well they had in our old place ( we used to go to koolsmiles until i got tired of their cheap ways) and I havent gone to the new one yet, but its a pediatric dentist so I wold think.. I was told they were awesome by many people but no one ever said anything about a play area..
Theres a changing table in the bathroom in the drs.
no, they used to before the H1N1 thing happened last year. they ditched all the toys then. I don't mind -- he'd just want to play with them and I'd have to rip him away from it to do something not fun. they have a fish tank which is entertainment enough.
BQ: I've never been in the bathrooms at the pediatricians. whenever he's needed to have a diaper change, we've been able to do it in the examination rooms.
Our doctor's office does have a play area but I try to NEVER let my child play with the toys. I think about how most kids that come to the doctor's are there because they are sick. all the toys are touched, sneezed on, coughed on, and chewed on. Grosses me out!
Funny, I never thought about it but, no, we don't have changing tables either.
I never thought about that ! I remember as a child, too - the maze thing with the beads, children's books and a colouring table and that was a small office . my current doctor for my children and I has nothing for kids and it's huge ! No change table, neither .
Ours has play tables, counter beads, a t.v. and that sort of thing in the waiting room.
BQ: Yes, ours has a changing table in the bathroom. I think that's odd too that not all pediatrician's bathrooms don't have a changing table.
Yeah. His office has a fish tank, a craft table with paper, crayons, markers, and play dough, tons of books, and a box of stuffed animals. Also not a TV in sight which is so effing refreshing.
My old doctor had a jungle gym indoors like the ones in McDonald's for the healthy kids,
Ad in the other room they have this huge t.v and chairs set up for the sick kids
Does your child's doctors office have?

If it says Office 97, you got pirated software. I hope you didn't pay for it. I also hope you didn't get some malware with it.
Good luck. You may need it.
