Antique bakery box I'm using as a coffee table? What was it?

I went over my dad's the other day and he asked me if I wanted a box. Thinking he meant a cardboard box, I immediately refused until I saw this open box. It's a wooden box with metal trim without a lid that I simply turned it upside down and put a table runner on, and made into my coffee table. On the side of the box, the words Spaulding Bakeries Hazelton, PA. are printed on there. I live within 15-20 miles of a Hazleton, PA but it is spelled differently, so I'm not sure if the spelling of the city was different.. but there is no Hazelton in PA.. it is correctly spelled Hazleton. if anyone has any answers about this interesting bakery box that I have acquired, any knowledge is greatly appreciated. And if photos are requested, I'll be happy to post e-mail them. thank you.

It might be a delivery box.

Bread used to be delivered to homes, and these boxes were on the porch. the lining prevented any unwanted vermin from entering. it probably had a lid at one time.

I've always called them coffee tables, and I've grown up in the church. No one will mind if you continue.

Tea lights are little candles about 1 cm tall, and 2-2.5 cm in diameter.

Table runners are a long decorative cloth placed along the centre of the table
