Hey,
I have quite a fair bit of experience with alder furniture (I have made dozens of chairs etc.) I was searching for some designs on google and this one end table and bench really crossed my eyes. Here is a link: http://www.saltspringwoodworks.com/catalog_detail.php?itemIDVar=131&artistIDVar=10&num=1 Please don't tell me the obvious "stick some alder together" I would like to know what would be the best way to fasten them together and what the empty black spaces between the alder are? I can not figure out what is inbetween the alder.
